Friday’s Cyber Attacks a ‘wake up call’ for insurers and public alike

On October 21, 2016 a DDoS attack affected Netflix, Twitter, Spotify, AWS, AirBnB, Reddit, GitHub and many more companies at once, flooding their servers with phony traffic until they could no longer function.  It showed the world how sophisticated cyberattacks have become and how vulnerable we are to them despite having strong security measures in place.  A large part of commerce was brought to a halt.   It was an eye-opening example of how vulnerable we are to cyber-attacks and that no company is immune from them.
